About me

Hi 👋🏼. I'm Lindsey Kopacz, an independent Accessibility Consultant and Engineer. I've been working in the web accessibility space for over 5 years and have developed a wide range of capabilities that I've learned along the way. These include skills such as auditing (with a special focus on making it digestible for web developers), design systems and documentation, data visualization, creating written and video tutorials, mentoring designers on accessibility practices, and pair programming with engineers on coding accessible solutions.

I’m passionate about improving the web experiences for disabled folks, who can greatly benefit from the advances in our technology. For 2 years I wrote on my blog, a11ywithlindsey (now an archive) to help demystify some confusing accessibility concepts through tutorials.

I’m located in the Washington, DC area and work independently. You can hire me to work on a variety of accessibility focused projects. I’m taking on new clients starting September 2023 and onwards.

I have worked at a wide variety of companies from agencies that focus in the non-profit and public sectors to tech companies with complex JavaScript applications.
